Budapest to Munich through Austria

Join us on a marvellous route through the Austrian Alps with cultural sightseeing, nature walks and relaxing in idillic surroundings. This tour begins in Budapest, at the meeting point of eastern and westren Europe, and ends in the bavarian capital, the modern Munich, so we explore 3 countries: Hungary, Austria and Germany in this order.

Day 01:  Your home destination – Budapest, Hungary

• Arrive to Budapest airport, meet & greet, transfer to the hotel
• Check in to the hotel, short rest
• Depending on the time of your arrival: seightseeing walk in the city center
• Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 02:  Budapest

• Breakfast at the hotel then start our sightseeing in the city
• Morning exploring Buda castle, Mathias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion, National Gallery, etc., lunch in a Hungarian restaurant
• Afternoon walk along the Pest promenade of the Danube, exploring the city
• Evening walk in the city, dinner in an Indian restaurant

Day 03:   Budapest

• In the morning continue sightseeing, visiting the Parliament, St. Stephen Basilika, City Park, Széchenyi Bath & Vajdahunyad castle, etc.
• Afternoon free at leisure, shopping, or relax in a bath
• Evening dinner cruise with live music

Day 04:    Budapest – Vienna, Austria (Wien)

• In the morning we have breakfast in the hotel and check out
• We get on our bus/car and drive to Vienna
• Check-in to hotel, short rest
• Walk in the city center, sightseeing, walking along Hofburg castle, Stephansdom, Graben shopping street, Maria Theresien Platz with Natural and Art Museums, the Ring avenue, Parliament, Rathaus, etc.
• Dinner in an Indian restaurant

Day 05:   Vienna

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Continue sightseeing, visit to Schönbrunn Castle and gardens
• Afternoon free time, shopping
• Dinner in a restaurant, overnight in the Vienna hotel

Day 06:    Vienna – Melk – Krems

• Breakfast, then we drive to Melk
• After a short visit at the abbey, we embark on a ship to travel downstream to Krems along the river Danube. This is the most beautiful route through Wachau valley.
• Check-in to a hotel in Krems, short rest
• Evening walk in the town, visit in a winery
• Overnight in Krems

Day 07:    Krems – Hallsatt

• After breakfast we drive to the beautiful small town of Hallstatt
• Stop for a coffe on the way in panoramic scenery
• Check-in to our accommodation near Hallsatt
• Short rest, then walk in Hallsatt
• Overnight in a near town

Day 08:    Hallsatt – Salzburg

• After breakfast we have a short visit in Hallstatt to see it in morning lights
• Later continue to Salzburg, check-in to our accommodation
• Sightseeing in Salzburg, the castle, Mirabel garden, Mozart’s birth house, etc.
• Dinner and overnight in Salzburg

Day 09:    Salzburg – Innsbruck

• After breakfast we continue sightseeing
• Later drive to beautiful Zell am See, to have lunch and look around
• We continue our travel to Innsbruck
• Check-in to our accommodation, short rest
• Sightseeing in Innsbruck in the afternoon
• Dinner and overnight in Innsbruck

Day 10:   Innsbruck – Neuschwanstein castle /Hohenschwangau, Germany

• After breakfast we continue sightseeing in Innsbruck
• Lunch, then drive to Germany, crossing the border, which nowadays is just a reminder
• We stop in Hohenschwangau, check-in to our hotel
• If we have time, we can see the castle from the outside in beautiful early evening lights from a panoramic lookout point
• Overnight in Hohenschwangau or Schwangau near the famous castle

Day 11:   Neuschwanstein castle – Münich

• Check out after breakfast
• Visit at Neuschwanstein castle
• Later drive to the Bavarian capital, Münich, check-in to our hotel.
• Evening walk, dinner and overnight in Münich

Day 12:    Münich

• Breakfast at the hotel then sightseeing in the city
• Visit old town, Marienplatz, Rathaus, Frauenkirche, Viktualienmarkt market, Hofgarten, Odeonsplatz, etc.
• Lunch, continue sightseein in Münich
• Optional visit to the BMW Factory and Museum
• In the evening we have a nice farewell dinner
• Overnight in Münich

    Day 13:   Münich – Your home destination

• Breakfast, check-out
• If we have time, we can have a short rest, or go shopping before departure
• Transfer to the airport, travel back home
